The Best Drugstore Concealers

Hello Friends!

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve blogged, but I’m trying to get back into the swing of things!

Over the past 6 months I’ve been testing out drugstore concealers because although I’ve really liked my various department store ones over the years, I just don’t think they’re worth the typically high price, especially considering drug store brands have really been stepping up their makeup game over the past few years! Drugstore brands also typically have larger sizes of concealers, making them not only last longer, but which also gives you more bang for your buck, and who doesn’t love that?

I purchased all of these concealers for $10(CAD) or less, but obviously prices vary from store to store, and sales. Also, for reference, I have extremely sensitive skin, that is dry/combination, with an oilier T-zone, and have some fine lines under my eyes.

Now, without further adieu, and in no particular order, here are my fave Drugstore Concealers!

Maybelline New York –Instant Age Rewind ($8)

Love the soft twist sponge applicator! Feels light on the skin, consistency isn’t too thick, very brightening. Marketed as full coverage, but it’s definitely medium.  Really great to use for highlighting and contouring. It’s blendable, and doesn’t clog pores.

Maybelline New York-Fit Me Concealer ($6)

Gives good coverage, is hydrating, blends well, and is decently long wearing. Formua isn’t greasy,  so it won’t clog your pores. This concealer seems to have a similar formula to Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer.

Covergirl-Trublend Undercover Concealer ($8)

Huge range of shades, like at least 30! Has a large applicator, which makes it a great concealer for highlightings and contouring. Has a vegan formula, consistency is thick, yet doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. Has a matte finish, blends easily, and it provides full coverage.

L’Oreal Paris-Infallible Full Wear Concealer ($10)

Big applicator, large range of shades, thick yet creamy formula. A little bit of product goes a looong way, so use way less than you’d think! Super full coverage, definitely the best coverage concealer I’ve ever used, even compared to high end concealers. It’s been my holy grail, daily concealer since I purchased it a few months ago. Amazing to cover up imperfections or redness and it doesn’t crease. Formula is extremely long wearing, waterproof, and can be used all over face. Dries very fast, so even though it blends well you do need to work quickly.  Also makes a great eyeshadow primer.

NYX- HD Studio Photogenic ($8)

Medium coverage, very brightening, and lightweight formula.  Gives a dewy/satin finish, is vegan, and its very blendable. I personally don’t like to use its anywhere else other than the under-eyes because I prefer matte finish concealers for zits and imperfections.

e.l.f Cosmetics-16hr Camo Concealer ($5)

Formula is brightening, and full coverage. It dries fast, and to an almost powder finish. It definitely long wearing as the name claims it is.  The formula blends well, isn’t too thick and it doesn’t cause breakouts. It’s a great concealer for spot concealing and as an eye shadow primer due to its matte finish.

I always love testing out different drugstore products, so if you have a favorite concealer that’s not on my list, please share!  Also, if you’ve tried any of the concealers on my list I’d love to hear what you think of them, and to know which one is your fave!

Have a fabulous weekend, lovelies!

  1. I don’t use many concealers but I do like the elf products. Typically I use mineral because it goes on easily for me. My daughter loves to test out cosmetics in different drugstores. Her favorites are ELF and NYX

  2. Thank you for your honest review. I am glad I came across this article as my current concealer is about to run out. I want to try the L’Oreal Paris-Infallible Full Wear Concealer. It sounds like a must have for me!
