DIY Father’s Day Gift Basket

Hello Lovebugs!!!!

I hope you’ve all had a great week, and that you’re weekend will be even better!

Earlier this week I went to the grocery store with The Twincesses, when I spotted Pic-a-Pop!!! I literally screamed with excitement!  For those who don’t know, Pic-a-Pop is basically the soda from my childhood, with about 10 flavors, and sold in glass bottles.  It’s actually local to where I live, made and sold in my small Canadian city of Winnipeg, and then eventually all around North America, until it literally disappeared in the late 90’s.  I don’t know what happened or why they weren’t around anymore, but I am sooo excited that they’re back, because it gave me a fabulous idea for a Father’s Day gift for Hubby!

(Some pics from last Father’s Day, at Gimli Beach)

Pop…it’s another name for dad, so, I had the idea to find treats for Hubby that had the word “pop” in them, and put them together into a gift basket that The Twincesses will give their daddy on fathers day with a note saying “To: The World’s Greatest Pop”!  Such an easy, inexpensive, and adorable gift for their dad, who really hates when people buy him gifts!

For the “Pop” gift basket I included:

-8 Pic-a-Pop soda’s in various flavors

-cheddar popcorn

-cookie pop from the grocery store bakery

-cake pop  (that I made and had leftover from my sister’s bridal shower)

-ring pop candy

-push pop candy

-ice pops sour candies

-tootsie bunch pops lolipops

You could add anything and everything with the word “pop” in it!

poptarts, pop rock candies, popsicles, pizza pops, popeyes candies, corn pops cereal….ANYTHING!  Have fun with it, be creative and see what you can come up with!

Can you think of anything else to add to the “Pop” themed gift basket?
