Over the past few years I’ve come to meet a lot of expecting Twin moms, and something I’m always asked is what items are needed and best for #twinmom life. So, for all of my new or soon to be twin mama’s this is a post for you! I’ve compiled a list of my fave twin products that I either had and loved, or that I wish I had because they’re so freakin’ awesome! I hope this list helps you figure out what will work best for you! Enjoy!
1) Double Rocker Baby Relax Hadley Double Rocker (Costco, Toys R Us, Walmart-online $500)
OH EM GEE! How did I not know that this even existed? I wish so badly that I had one of these when The Twincesses were born! The chair is 1.5 times wider than a regular rocker, and it would have been so much comfier and easier for feeding, and even just cuddling or reading with my babies! Even as toddlers it would still be big enough for all of us to sit on! I kinda want to get one now…
2) Kolcraft Contours Optima Tandem Stroller (Toys R Us or Target for around $500)
3) Twin Z Nursing Pillow (online, $100)
Another genius product that I wish I had! This pillow is perfect for breastfeeding, bottle feeding, tummy time or to prop babies up. The best part for moms is that it has a supportive backrest to prevent neck and back pain.
4) Fisher-Price Deluxe Rock ‘n Play Bassinet (Walmart or Amazon $100)
I chose to have The Twincesses sleep in their own room, but if you plan to have your twins sleeping in your room then this bassinet is ideal because it’s super lightweight, portable, affordable and it folds flat to store so you can easily take it down and set it up wherever you want! Definitely the best and most practical one I’ve ever seen!
5) Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair (Toys R Us $80)
This was a wonderful highchair for us, and anyone with twins because it doesn’t take up any additional room! Traditional high chairs take up a lot of space, and having two was not something I wanted laying around my house. This high chair attaches to any chair so it saved a lot of room in my kitchen! Also, it can be raised or lowered depending on height preference, and the seat can recline! It’s also great for babies to self-feed.
6) Lug “Tuk Tuk Carry-All Bag” (online $135)
This diaper bag is huge! I am a major over-packer and this bag has room for everything I ever need and more! Bonus it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, and there are tons of colors to choose from!
7) Covered Goods 4-in-1 Nursing Cover ($35)
I so wish I had this sooner! The 4-in-1 Nursing Cover is great for on the go feedings because it is so compact and versatile. You can chose to wear it as a nursing cover, scarf, use it as a car seat cover, AND you can use it as a shopping cart cover! Twin shopping cart covers are almost impossible to find. I’ve been searching for one for over 3 years, and am so thankful that Covered Goods was so sweet to send me their cover! Covered Goods 4-in-1 Nursing Cover fits all shopping carts and is ideal for moms with multiples, plus there are also sooo many cute prints to choose from!
8) Duo Twin Swim Float (Amazon, $50)
This is soooo smart! I totally wish I had this before The Twincesses grew too big! This double swim float is good up to 30lbs for each section/child! It’s so cute, practical and convenient for swimming with twins!
9) Graco Pack ‘n Play Play Yard with Twins Bassinet(Walmart, Toys R Us, Target, Online, $220)
If you travel a lot or have a cabin, and have young twins this is a great play yard to have! It’s the only play yard that I know of that comes with two bassinets! This would have been perfect for The Twincesses to sleep in on their first trip to Mexico! I wish I had it back then! Also great if you don’t want to have two bassinets, but want your twins to sleep in your room!
10) Twin Baby Carrier
Surprise! I don’t have one to suggest because I personally don’t believe in twin baby carriers. I wore a regular baby carrier when I needed, and hubby wore the other. We literally only used them for a week, on a trip to Mexico (when The Twincesses were 2 months old) and used it less than 10 times. A twin carrier is just not practical in my opinion. Carrying around one baby can feel heavy enough, but two? Yikes, I am not Wonder Woman, I just can’t deal with the back pain! And how the heck do you even put two babies in if you’re all by yourself with one baby on your front and one on your back? I prefer a good old fashioned stroller! But if you plan to wear your twins, just do some research and I’m sure you’ll find one that works best for you!
Hopefully this list saves you some time and stress! If you have any questions, or suggestions for other great twin products, please let me know in the comments!
Have a fabulous week lovebugs!
