Good Morning friends!
I hope you all had a fabulous night of sleep and woke up feeling fresh and ready to take on the day! If you’re a mama, I’m sure that didn’t happen, but I hope you woke up to an enormous pot of coffee and that the bags under your eyes aren’t too dark and puffy! If you’re someone who struggles with covering up your dark circles and puffiness then today’s blog post is for you!
I’ve been waiting for Sephora to get my concealer (Sephora Collection Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer) back in stock since mid-March, and it’s STILL NOT back (WTF Sephora!?!) because they basically want to ruin my life and make me look like a dead person. So, I’ve been searching for a different concealer that works just as well, and if possible, even better, without spending The Twincesses university fund. Some of those crazy concealers cost over $50, ummm no thanks!
So, in googling and Pinterest-ing around, I saw that a lot of people were liking the Maybelline “Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer” so I thought I’d give it a try! Ladies, this concealer did not disappoint! For a “drugstore” concealer I was surprised at how much it lightened and brightened up my dark circles. I was also surprised at how lightweight the concealer felt! I have used some pretty pricey concealers in the past and they were super thick which was No Bueno for me, because I have lots of under eye creases which thick formula concealers tend to accentuate!

I bought the shade “Light” from Walmart, and it is perfect for me! The concealer was only $11 (Canadian) which in my book equals WINNING! I also picked up the “Brightener” shade as well, to test out as a highlighter, and also to try over top of the concealer, for an extra pop of brightness for those nights where I don’t sleep and my under eye circles are darker than the depths of hell! The Brightener was the same price, and although it didn’t make a crazy difference to my dark circles (I’ve been sleeping pretty good so they haven’t been too dark), for me it was noticeable enough that I can see myself using it on a regular basis!

The bottom line is that I would totally recommend the Instant Age Rewind Concealer collection to anyone looking for help with their under eye area! Not only will you look fabulous, but you’ll also save yourself major cash by not buying those department store concealers! Hooray! Double winning!
Do you have any drugstore make up items that you swear by, or any fantastic concealers you’d recommend?
