A Review of Tarte’s Holiday 2017 Limited Edition Blush Palette

I was at Sephora over the weekend, and saw that Tarte released their holiday 2017 collection, and I instantly fell in love with the Limited Edition Blush Bazaar Amazonian Clay Blush Palette and wanted to share my thoughts about it with my fellow beauty lovers!

First of all, the packaging!  OMG!!!  It’s so sleek, yet glam looking, and just so freaking gorgeous with the bright colors, the gold, and the super neat Moroccan designs!  I also love that it’s a round compact, that’s small enough to throw in your purse, and easy to take when travelling.

The blush palette contains 8 blushes, in both matte and shimmer shades, and 2 highlighters.  If you’ve never tried any of Tarte’s Amazonian Clay blushes, they’re amazing!  The blushes in this palette (like all of Tarte’s Amazonian Clay blushes) last all day, they’re very pigmented, the powder doesn’t get all over the compact and get wasted when you swirl your brushes into them, and they’re all vegan, as well as oil free.

Full sized Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes are 5.6g and are $38 (CAD) for one, so with 10 blushes at 2.4g each, for $57 this holiday palette is a phenomenal deal!  If you were to purchase individual Tarte blushes, in order to get the same amount of blush per gram as this palette, you would end up spending $163, so this palette saves you a ton of cash!

This palette has a great selection of pink toned blushes, including peach, coral, berry, and mauve tones.  It also has two GORGEOUS highlighters, one in a super soft pink tone, and one in a shimmery gold tone, that I plan to also use as eye shadow because I just looooove it so much!

Although some people may find it to be a con, I appreciate the fact that the blushes while very pigmented, are not so pigmented that they go on crazy dark when you first apply them, and then have to be wiped down. The blushes in this palette are very buildable, so they would work well on all skin tones if built up enough, but they are definitely more geared towards the light to medium dark skin tones.

If you do check out the palette on Sephora’s site, just be aware that the colors are definitely not as intense or as saturated as the website’s photo swatches shows them to be.  Definitely go check it out in store if you’re on the fence about the colors, or unsure if they’d work for you.

This is a fantastic blush palette that I would definitely recommend to anyone, especially for someone who isn’t quite sure where to start with blushes, or is unsure of what colors would look best on them, because you get so many, for a great price.  And if by chance you buy the palette, and dislike it for some reason, the nice thing about Sephora is that they have an amazing return policy, so you can always return your purchase, so you really have nothing to lose!

Let me know if you end up purchasing the Tarte Limited Edition Blush Bazaar Amazonian Clay Blush Palette or if there’s anything else in this year’s holiday collection that you’re loving!

Have a great rest of your week, and a Happy Halloween, Lovebugs!
